Over the last year we transferred Maps API documentation into many languages , and developers around the world has become easier to use Google Maps on their sites. In early 2008 we released, and recently updated,. translations into Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
Over the past few months, we quietly released a few more translations of the API documentation cards. In September, there were German and Spanish translations, and recently came out translations in Brazilian Portuguese and Russian languages. These translations can be found here:.

You can switch to the translated documents by selecting a language from the drop-down list in the upper right corner of the site pages. code. google. com. If the translation of the page for the selected language exists, it will be shown (if not, then the text will be shown in English).
We chose these languages because most non-English readers Maps API documentation says it is on them. We hope that the new translations will encourage developers to use Google Maps API.
