Orkut new virus embeds


Unknown hackers have created another worm for the popular social network in Brazil, Orkut, - informs The Register.





The worm spreads by using Scrapkut friends list in Orkut network through the injection of active code. Malicious code that supposedly contains a link to one of the videos appear in the victim's diary.





After clicking on the link, the user request is redirected to an external site with malicious software disguised as updated Flash-player. When a user is tricked installs software in its current web session with Orkut introduced hacking Javascript-code. Then, this code contains the diary entry will be circulated to all the friends of the victim, and a new cycle of infection.





Symantec has already published a report analyzing the potential danger worm. Judging from the counter on the page with malicious software, more than 13,000 users are infected by the worm Scrapkut, but it only applies to happiness, without causing any harm.





Recall that the previous Orkut- virus has infected more than half a million computers. Numerous users of the service received an email stating that the system Orkut Scrapbook published a new record.
